Resolving to reduce face-screen time
By Rosie Perera | September 6, 2011 at 4:34 pm
A friend of mine who is an uber-geek has chosen to cut back the amount of time he spends in front of a screen. He now appends this note as part of his signature in emails. I like it.
NOTE:
In keeping with my personal goal of decreasing the amount of time I spend sitting staring at screens…
1. I find contact by phone or face-to-face much more effective & enjoyable for most communications.
2. My primary online days are currently Tue & Fri, but I also check emails in the morning.
3. For urgent communications, please call xxx-xxx-xxxx, otherwise email replies will be 1-2 days.
I’m not ready to go where he’s gone, but I like the motivation behind it and I’m sure he is experiencing the benefits of it.
